About the Artist Deniz Defne Acerol graduated from the Painting Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2013, developing her artistic language through the figurative and academic approaches of Nedret Sekban and Ahmet Umur Deniz. Graduating third in her class, she received the Sakıp Sabancı Art Award in the same year and opened her first solo exhibition shortly after. Her works were later exhibited at Mamut Art Project in 2016. The artist continues her practice in her Istanbul studio.
